Synthetic Biology Internship - RNA Innovation (Fall 2021)

RNA Innovation

Oct 11, 2021 - Dec 17, 2021

RNA Innovation is an industry stream NSERC CREATE funded program that has a mandate to partner with biotech companies to help the Canadian bioeconomy flourish, while training highly-qualified personnel. Our program offers competitive funding for roughly 10 trainees—M.Sc and Ph.D. students, and PDFs per year. These trainees NSERC-funded trainees must spend at least 20 % of their time in an industrial setting. Currently, we have trainees with expertise in biochemistry, bioinformatics, computational chemistry, and experimental biophysics based in Quebec and Alberta. Due to NSERC funding, all placements must be in person and in Canada. Although the start date is set in September, students are available to start at any time. The salary for student internships is fully funded by NSERC so you as a company would not be responsible for payment (however if student must relocate for the role, it is expected that you would assist with covering house/relocation costs).
